So I went to the derm and asked if I could do accutane but they said that’s like a last resort so they gave me this I’m also gonna use tretinoin still but only at night

I hate dermatologists they gave me the same shit. Tret is good it helps but accutane rapes. Try tret and see how you feel after a few weeks then go back if you still want accutane.

Yeah they did the same shit for me, go back and get accutane. if they won’t give it to you, don’t use the cream and pretend you’ve been using it when you visit again. If you do that you can probably get it, tretinoin cream is shit.

tret isnt a bad alternative just try it and see if it helps

Why should he take accutane when his acne isnt severe? One of its main effects is litterally lowering igf1

not if u take low doses like 5mg-10mg, there only a few studies that show us how oral isotretionoin acts affecting significantly your igf-1 and all of them show us that the only negative effect is that u will grow a little bit slower, but your final height will be the same.

Ofc most people wont notice the decrease in igf1 one but Accutane still reduces igf1 levels and even if u catch up that might not happen if u do it near the end of puberty, thats why i told him to not take it during puberty if it isnt that bad and can be treated with other medcines like tret

this has been debunked multiple times, even taking 80 mg ed would result in max 1 cm or no height decrease, look at studys on pubmed or look at eatmydusts thread

yes like i said im not saying accutane has significant effects on height but if ur acne is not bad its still better to wait after puberty since igf1 levels have other uses other that height

they did the same shit to me like 2 years ago, tret is still pretty good but accutane obv better

It aint shit but its not comperable to accutane
